Panther Creek Falls

Panther Creek Falls, a captivating two-tiered waterfall in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Washington, has undergone significant changes to preserve its natural beauty. Due to over-visitation and resulting environmental impact, the area was temporarily closed. It has since reopened with newly constructed viewing platforms, allowing visitors to enjoy the falls with minimal ecological disturbance. These platforms offer a safe and sustainable way to witness the falls’ impressive 132-foot tiered cascades.

The Drive

Drive 8 miles on a forest road to a discreet, unmarked rock pit parking area. The trailhead across the street is subtly tucked away.

The Hike

A short trail, less than a mile, leads to Panther Creek Falls, featuring both upper and lower viewing platforms for different perspectives of the waterfall.

The Falls

Panther Creek Falls features the confluence of two streams creating a segmented veiled waterfall, creating a unique and captivating natural display.

Don’t Forget

The trail to Panther Creek Falls is open to hikers only. There are no water, garbage or restroom facilities at the site, so come prepared.
